FAQ’s

Can I get my Canon camera repaired at any other camera repair shop?

  • Checking, Maintenance & Repair by unqualified individuals may cause damage to your Canon Camera which sometimes can be beyond repair or extremely expensive.
  • The spare parts used may not be genuine spares and may result in causing damage to the other components of the Camera.
  • Your Canon Camera may not give out accurate readings such ISO etc.. as the Camera may have not been calibrated and set up according to manufacturer standards.

I got my camera serviced at a camera shop but the images are not sharp where do I get my camera checked for this issues?

Please visit the Canon Camera Customer Service Center to conduct a check on your Canon Camera using appropriate tools.

Is it alright to clean the sensor in my camera by myself or can it be done at a camera repair shop.

  • No. Please do not try to clean the sensor yourself.
  • The sensor in your camera is the most important part and replacement is very expensive.
  • It is recommended that only experienced, trained and skilled technicians be permitted to perform this process with the use of Canon recommended chemicals and software.
  • Other camera shops will not have the required software and tools and will use cheap chemicals which could cause more harm to the sensor.
